There was a fatal ATV accident Sunday night (May 22, 2016) in Crystal Lake. Details on the crash – and especially its causes – appear limited at this time.
Crystal Lake first responders – including Crystal Lake Fire Rescue and Crystal Lake Police – were sent to the accident scene at approximately 7:00 p.m. The accident scene was in the 2400 block of Bryn Mawr Lane.
The accident involved a single ATV that crashed in a field. The boy died at the accident scene, from apparent multiple injuries. The boy who died was not identified, nor was his age disclosed.

McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski said an autopsy to determine the cause of death is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
