Elmhurst Restaurant Fire Injures Three People

There was a kitchen fire in an Elmhurst restaurant on Tuesday afternoon (September 23, 2014) which injured three people.

The fire occurred at Back Alley Burger.  The Elmhurst Fire Department was alerted to the fire at 1:19 p.m.

According to media accounts, a gas fire had started in the kitchen during a gas line repair.

Although the sprinkler system contained the fire, three people were injured.  Two of the three were treated at the accident scene.  One person was sent to the Loyola University Medical Center Burn Unit.
