Illinois workplace accidents can happen for various reasons. Common reasons for serious workplace injuries include lack of supervision; poor worker training; lack of communication; unsafe work conditions; defective equipment; and improper equipment. However, there are many other reasons that can play a role in whether an employee is injured on the job.
Sadly, many of these workplace accidents seem avoidable.
As with any accident in which someone has been hurt or fatally injured, a qualified personal injury lawyer can determine if there was negligence involved and whether accident injury compensation may be attainable. If such accident injury compensation is a possibility, how much such a case may be worth is another question that an experienced personal injury attorney can answer.
There was a fatal workplace accident Wednesday (March 16, 2016) in Bolingbrook. The accident happened as a man, identified as Kevin A. Schneider, 57, of Green Bay, was “spotting” a trainee as the trainee was attempting to park a vehicle at the RR Donnelley warehouse on Windham Parkway. According to Bolingbrook Police, Schneider died instantly after being pinned as he stepped between two semis.
Additional details and possible updates concerning this fatal accident can be seen in a variety of media sources, including the March 19, 2016 The Herald-News article titled “Bolingbrook police: Wisconsin man pinned between two semis in fatal workplace accident” as well as the March 19 Bolingbrook Patch article titled “Man Crushed Between Two Semis at Bolingbrook Warehouse: Coroner.”
