On January 24, 2021 there was a Lake Villa accident that involved a girl on an innertube being pulled by an ATV. A 16-year-old girl who suffered a serious brain injury during an ATV inner tube accident in January in Lake Villa is still in the hospital recovering, her family says.
Allyson Kubik, 16, of Grayslake, was being pulled on an inner tube by an ATV in the backyard of a home on January 24. The incident happened in the 100 block of Fieldstone Drive in Lake Villa.
Allyson was on the inner tube with another teen as the ATV was pulling the tube through the snow.
The inner tube slid into a tree and both teens were ejected from the tube into the trees, leaving Allyson unconscious when first responders arrived.
Allyson Kubik’s injuries were considered to be life-threatening in nature and she was flown to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for treatment of her injuries.
