Injuries suffered from an alleged “bullying” incident are named in a recently filed personal injury lawsuit in Will County court.
The lawsuit is summarized in the Channahon-Minooka Patch article of October 5, 2015 titled “Teen Suffered Broken Leg and Head Injury In Brutal High School Beating: Lawsuit.”
An excerpt from the article:
A high school student was beaten so severely by a bully that he suffered a head injury, fractured fibula and torn ligaments, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.
Jayvon Russell, 16, and his mother, Latoya Russell, are suing the Crete-Monee School District over the alleged October 2014 attack.
According to the article, the lawsuit claims that the school district failed to protect Jayvon, and neglected to follow the bullying policy in place at the school.
Additional details and possible updates can be seen in a variety of media sources, including the Channahon-Minooka Patch article mentioned above.
